I totally forgot about my blog. I'm such a terrible updater!
First and foremost, I am so incredibly excited that my Auburn Tigers start their new season in a little over a week. Now I'm the first to admit that I have been a bit skeptical of what to expect of the team after last years pathetic season. But, now Im just ready to see them play again. Win or lose, I am just ready to see some football! I will wear my orange and blue all season with my head held high. I just hope we beat Georgia and Alabama. I work with a bunch of Georgia fans and would love to shut them up about our previous losses to them. And of course I want to beat Alabama, mostly because I hate them.
Going home next weekend for the home opener, so excited!
This weekend I'm trying to get tickets to the Falcons game here in ATL. I have a friend who is currently playing on the team and I want to go see him play! Hopefully I can get all that planned out so I will be able to go!
Work is crazy busy right now. I love it. Makes my days go by so much faster and seems so much less boring.
I am also trying to figure out what to do about my upcoming move. My supposed to be newroommate bailed for financial reasons so now Im looking again. While this is totally inconvenient for me, I totally understand where she is coming from.
I wish that I could just wait around until whenever Whitney (my current roommate) could move with me, but I dont think her family wants me around that long. So needless to say, Im looking for a roommate in Atlanta AND a place. I prob need to be out by October too since that is what I told my current "landlord." (I guess that is what I call them).
Everything will work out, I have faith.

The weekend is over already?!?!
I feel like the weekends are not even close to long enough. I think Saturdays and Sundays might actually be shorter than every other day of the week!
Friday night I had an amazing time in Auburn. I got to see so many people I haven't seen in forever. I saw some of the Farmhouse boys (love them), some of my DZ friends, Elizabeth and Caleb, Jessica AND of course my family!
We met up downtown and had to make our normal stop at Bodega. (I miss Wednesday night drink specials!) We also hit up 1716, In Italy, Little Italy, and had to end the night at Sky Bar. The bars were fun, but a little more crowded than I usually care for. We had a good time regardless.
Saturday, Mom and I got up early and went shopping for furniture. I found the perfect bedroom set. I'm absolutely in love. Am I old enough to fall in love with furniture?! We went to a really small furniture store in Auburn, well Tuskegee (Jackson Furniture). They always have the best deals on furniture and there it was! Of course it wasnt set up (If you have ever been to this place, you would understand). I got the pricing from them and then headed to a bigger furniture store to see it all set up! I totally fell in love with it after seeing the whole thing set up! My first big purchase as an Auburn Alum! I'm so excited to see it all set up in my room!
I drove home to Atlanta Saturday afternoon and spent the eventing with some friends of mine. Had an awesome time!
Sunday I lounged, napped and lounged. I did get a work out in, between the napping and lounging though! I'm sticking to my plan, so far so good!
With the changes in my living arrangements and just a necessary revamp, I have been working on a budget for myself. I read in Glamour (I know the perfect mag for budget advice right?) that I should allocate 60% of my income to fixed expenses (rent, insurance, car payment, etc), 30% to living expenses (food, gas, etc.) and 5-10% in savings. I'm going to do my best to do this. After taking a look at my past couple months, I found I have wasted so much money on random crap and I eat out WAY too much. I'm going to change this immediately! I'm giving myself a set amount of money for food (one set for groceries one for eating out at restaurants) and when that money is gone it's gone. Hopefully I learn to spend my money much more wisely.
I made a nice little excel spreadsheet to try and help me track my money. Hopefully this works out, cant really afford for it not to I guess.
This week will hopefully fly by!

Auburn Alums in Atlanta
It has been a busy week for me at work so I've been too tired to blog after work (or maybe I was just avoiding the computer since I've been behind on almost every hour this week, or at least it feels that way).
FINALLY, some of my Auburn friends have moved to Atlanta. For a while I was feeling like I was the only one out of my friends who came to Atlanta for work. But now, Bailey and Linds are here! It's been nice to catch up and hang out with them over the past week or so. We started our traditional (was a tradition in college) wine night back! So So happy!
Now I know there are plenty of people who went to Auburn who now live in Atlanta. But, its nice to finally have the people that I hung out with a lot back in my life again!
I saw Julia and Julie this week and was kind of disappointed. I mean it was a great idea and the story line was cute, but it was REALLY long and could have been cut shorter without much being missed. I guess it would be hard to tell two stories in a shorter amount of time, but this was extreme. It is very rare that I check the time on my phone during a movie, but this time I did it more than once. Probably one I won't see again, but one that Im definetely glad that I saw once.
I've been complaining about how I need to workout more often, but am not a huge fan of the gym so some of my coworkers recommended P90X to me. Oh my gosh, this workout is one of the most intense things that I have ever done. It doesnt take long for me to feel the burn for sure! I dont know if that makes me happy or sad. Im either really out of shape (which is very likely) or Im working muscles I didnt know existed (im sure of this) or I just not used to the intensity. I think maybe all of the above! Needless to say, if you want a great workout, one that is going to kick your butt and make a difference, get this one.
Now maybe that I have written about it, I will stick to it. I hope so at least. I need to make sure to schedule a workout everyday and now since I've written that down I will actually do it.
I'm trying to get back started on tennis again too. I played in high school (for fun not for the school) and really enjoyed it. Some friends of mine and I would always go out and have 3-4 courts worth of games going on. It was a fun way to exercise and it gave us something to do as well! We will see how this goes! I'm trying to play at least once a week!
I made a last minute plan to go to Auburn tonight. Elizabeth and Caleb (the newlyweds) are coming to Auburn for Elizabeth's sisters bid day. I havent seen them since the wedding in May and really miss them! So excited to spend an Auburn night with them! I also have to go look at furniture. I could look in Atlanta (im sure there are more stores here), but I want my moms help so I will be looking tomorrow with her! I need a bedroom set for the new apartment. Hopefully I find something that I love! And hopefully since Im ordering it now, it will be here in time for my move in October!
My weekend will be full for sure, I'm sure there will be plenty of stories to tell later on!!

It's only Monday and I need another weekend
Looks like I'm going to be a once a week blogger. Oh well, once is better than never. I find this very relaxing and a perfect way to keep everyone updated on life in the city!
I cannot believe it is August already! It feels like this year is just flying by. With all the changes I've encountered in the past year though, I guess it makes sense that I've been in a whirlwind. The next few months will bring more change too I'm sure.
I am officially moving into Atlanta on October 3. I've been living in Alpharetta with a good friend from college, but the time has come for me to move again. I'm going to miss her and her family so much, but I'm sure I will see them all still. I know I will still see her, so it won't be too terrible. I'm moving to an apartment in Buckhead with another friend of mine. I'm excited to see what apartment living is like... believe it or not, in 22 years, I never lived in an apartment, not even in college. I'm excited, scared, and ready to take on a new challenge! I'll keep this updated on all the plans!
I have sprained my ankle, I'm afraid. I'm an idiot and can't walk without hurting myself. I'm not 100% that it is sprained, but it stays swollen without a brace on it and it hurts. If it is still bothering me later on in the week, or next week, I'm going to the doctor.
Maggie is doing much better. We went to the vet and she now has a cone she has to wear to keep her from licking her paw (it wasnt healing quick enough). Maggie hates it, but I'm finding it kind of humerous. The poor dog just runs in to everything. Luckily this is a soft cone, one that is flexible, so its a lot more comfortable than a hard one. She is still on medicine, but I think everything is going to be just fine.
I'll update more later.
